Things didn't go exactly as planned yesterday. I decided to keep going after Jackson since I could make Piney by 9:30. Things were going good and the ride was awesome through a mountain pass and across the vast expanse of Wyoming. Only problem was no rooms in Piney, or the next 2 towns. Ended up riding 100 miles in the cold night to reach Rock Springs. I'm thinking I got lucky here since the motel 6 was full and I was told that motel 8 was the only place with rooms available. Good grief. The good news is I should make Denver tonight and then I can take it easy for a few days. I'm excited to see my second family the Bankempers. Should be a great ride today....
